Advert said the following;
2 litre CITROEN DISPATCH HDI
Nice clean looking van, no bumps or scratches. Excellent runner, always starts first time.
Two owners from new. Full service history.
Everything is in excellent condition, and the van benefits from 2 sliding side doors and rear double doors for incredibly good access.
The van has only covered 37,000 miles with only 2 previous owners and was first registered on the 31.01.03 (52 plate)
Taxed until end of January 2012
New MOT valid till Jan 2013. Passed Last week without problem.
Fitted inside the van is a 450 litre Baffled tank, securely bolted via frame to chasis.
Fitted with pump, hoselock conectors, varistream, leisure battery and split charger. Just needs hose and hose reel to start work.
Industrial quality roof rack with ladder rollers at the rear for easy loading.
Pole storage system in back of van.
Cab is clean with 3 seats, central locking, factory fitted stereo.
I saw this advertised for £3500 which i thought too much. It didnt sell. I know the owner and thought i might make him an offer although i am very sure he wont come down much. The owner is as honest as they come so I believe the low mileage stated.
I am wanting to go from trad to WFP and think this might be a fairly low cost way of doing so but as i havent had a van and WFP equipment before i thought id get some veiws from you experienced ones.
So what do you think its worth?

1.5 to 2 k tops
-
I looked at that, it has what I want, but I don't have cash yet.
I would offer 2.5k.
-
I would offer 3k all day long for that if details are genuine , if i was starting out again that would be a total bargain , you would pay that and vat for just the van in the South West .

Ditto. A good opportunity there! ;)

Thanks for all the replies. I was thinking 2-2.5 but dont really know much about van and equipment value. 3k it is then and thanks very much for the opinions, appreciated! :)

I said 3 k , no reason why you cant go up and wave 2.5 in his face , i would as you said its not sellin , nothin like a wad of cash in hand to get a good deal , just look under the bonnet , that will show a 35k engine , should still be clean at that milage , and lookin at the rest of the van the vendor has pride , also check miles on mots , often a giveaway at something too good to be true .
Good luck mate , its a nice van if cosher , sayin that my bro has the same van , thing is it sounds like it blew up today , mind you it did do 250k on original engine !

You can do this for free, you will get the web address on any MOT certificate,go to the site, put in the registration of vehicle and it will give you the mileage and other information at all previous MOT,s ;)

nice one mate didn't know that, will check it out later.
nice, tidy looking van. if it's all kosher looks good, handy to have kit in already (if in good order, which sounds like should be.)
-
Good van that , well worth a punt at £2-£3k
We had Citroen vans in the print for 20 years
And never had an issue upto 100k miles one even managed
150k and this was abused , foot flat to the floor all the time.
-
As it is coming upto 10 years old it will be due a new cambelt even though the mileage is low. May also be good to change the water pump at the same time. Not a major issue but needs be done.
-
2k maybe 2.5k
-
3k sounds fair to me.jump in and start earing straight away... ;)
-
2750 i think is a good price offer him that and go up to 2900 then let him sweat lol
-

You will love this van,the HDI 2.0 litre engine is fantastic
It goes like a dream, even with half a tonne of water in the back, infact it dosnt even know its carrying weight!
Fantastic on diesel too!
Iam just in the process of buying the new shape dispatch, on a 07 plate
I will be giving my old van to my lad, who is a plumber , and has just bought his first house, which is a doer upper, so a van will be handy for him
