Put new batteries in,
If that dont work, run water through the heater at a high rate with  the gas off,
Also unscrew the gas from the heater, then reconnect everything again, and hopefully be ok

Seems like it might be cutting out.

Where's the reset button ?

It's on the right hand top side, black tiny button, needs pressing down. You need better ventilation in your van as it's sensing CO2 buildup. THat's why it cuts out. Unless you get better ventilation it's going to keep cutting out. I've got a 100mm pipe and it still did it, though there was as very small bend in the pipe. Got fed up with it so bypassed the sensor.

Also there is no pilot light on the hotwash, it's an on demand system. The batteries fire the igniter as soon as the flow starts.

My fogwash does the same if I change the gas bottle. Right pain in the backside they only work in a very narrow band of water flow too I've found.

Mine works with any flow, and never cuts out during the day,
I have by-passed the reset button though

So have I. I have marked the dial where mine will and won't fire up.
Do you use a controller?

Yes, i use an old analogue varistream, set about 1 o'clock, if that helps.
Probably about 2 ltr per minute
