Title: sebo duo as a dry system???

When i bought my duo i got 4 bags of powder i asume are sponges for dry cleaning? Has anyone tried dry cleaning with a duo and what were the results like as it's a pity to bin these.
I know this isn't a favourable method with a duo but i'd be interested to hear views and experiences with the duo when used to clean??

sebo is like any othe micro sponge system except it does not vacuum. it will do the job, but in my opinion the system is not as good as extraction and should only be used when there is no alternative

I use a ninja but as i got the sponges with my duo i thought i might aswell make use of them

Hi Martin ,

 Not sure of the exact weight but it's really light and the handle is removable which makes it even better

A number of people have mentioned using the Sebo for agitation and seem happy with it for this purpose.

I bought a Sebo about 10 years ago and attempted to use it as a dry cleaning system, but, the results were not encouraging and it was eventually used for agitating, for which purpose, it was effective, only on moderate soiling.

What I found to be a pain, was the rapid clogging and the time wasted in frequent clearing of brushes.

Also, the machine is far too light to be an effective agitating machine, compared with Host and similar machines.

My favourite is the Klanz, which is made in England and has a great deal going for it, as a simple agitating device or a self contained multisurface cleaner.

This is purely, my personal opinion based on experience and posted to, hopefully help others'

Where do you buy the Klanz.

During the hype of MicRo Splitters we were all encouraged tobuy Sebbp Duo, I carried on with my brush, but am looking into some form of power in new year, but every product seams to have draw backs

01442 248571 is the number I have. They are based in Hemel Hempstead and don't have a web presence.

The guy who runs the business will enthuse all day about his product, if you let him.

I am about to purchase a new one, as I stubidly chucked mine out recently when thinking that I had finally escaped from the business.

I have sussed out a concept, which will enable me to continue working in c/c without further damage to my back.

Incidentally, the Klanz is about 3 times the cost of the little Sebo, but in a totally different league.

Rob,

 The klanz you speak about is it purely a contra rotating machine for agitation or does it vac aswell.

The machine is a complete dry cleaning system which has two rotating heads ' which also float ' similar to the Cimex, but much lighter and carriable in one hand.

It does not vacuum.

I was introduced to this machine when I purchased a CFR machine and  it was suggested as the ideal aggitatig device to use with One Step and CFR.

This was about 7-8 years ago and I've yet to see it surpassed, although the Cimex could do so on productivity, it's far too big and heavy for domestic use.
