Hi,
We worked today in one van.,.2 men , as one van in for repair.
So we linked 2 reels to one pump, and for the life of us could not get a decent flow to feed 2 poles.
we eventually had a look at just how much water was coming out of the pump... and it was very little,
we even by-passed the varistream, (non digital)
Does anyone know if there is a way to actually turn the pump itself up???
not the varistream as we have that on full now .
What a day, .... any suggestions welcome
its a shurflo 100 psi pump and worked fine with one man,.... well now we presumed it was working at its maximum, as it cannot cope with two poles.
Thanks.

Hi Gazza,
Weve been running 1 surflo pump/varistream thro 2 hose reels for well over a year now with absolutely no problems whatsoever? We just plugged in the pump and controller and away we went....usually have the varistream on 4 or 5.
I think you might have a problem with pressure switch or something? How old is the pump?
Cheers Dave

what flow is the pump ? as I think there are 3 types from memory

sounds like pump problems, you should have around 7-9l per min i think they are and of course 100psi.
your hoses where all defrosted i take it.

Hi, no frost here,
dont know what type other than above, to be honest it falls out of the tank hose quicker than it sends through the pump.
Anyone else any ideas , thanks .

sounds to me as though you have an air leakage.
Tried this 5 or 6 years ago and was a mare until we sorted
all connectors to make air tight.
Would never do it again though!!

Was doing this for a while 1 pump to reels, worked OK but not ideal!!
Changing to 2 pumps 2 reels def no going back now, accurate flow and full controls, plus got the convenience if one goes wrong for some reason!

what size hose do you use

Friend of mine uses 1 pump to 2 reels with no problems at all. Sounds like you've got an leak somewhere as you say the amount coming directly out of the pump is very little - so nothing to do with the number of reels imo

It will be the pump at fault. Probably be the one way valve thingy. Not sure of its name.
