Just seen this is new on the website. Any reviews yet?

Haven't used it yet 8mm on the right thermobore on the left. Seems pretty pliable

Does this stuff "hold the heat" i.e reduce heat loss from hose while on the ground? Or does it keep its rigidity. I
actually prefer the 100 meters of liquorice look, but would like to retain a bit more heat in the hose. Any thoughts? If that makes sense?

Suppose I could have just asked - How supple is this stuff? ::)

;D I could have told you by now but some mong has taken my van off the road. To look at it doesn't seem any different to anything else. Has the same looking inside tube surrounded by much the same outside. Alex says it's a more exotic mix of materials. To be honest I would doubt it would hold onto heat any longer than anything else. It is supposed to withstand 80 degrees which is twenty more than most other hoses. It definitely feels bendy. Ionics are doing a much cheaper 8mm at the moment which is supposed to withstand hot temperatures. It's so cheap that it may be the end of line production I don't know.

yeah, My feeling is that it will just hold its rigidity with the hot water but that's not a plus in my opinion. Soft hose is so much easier to work with and reel up. What I would love is hose that holds the heat on the ground but goes soft like normal hose does. I would imagine that creates a dichotomy.

Thanks for pic. Great weather to try it out on though this week ;D Do you have the link to the ionics stuff?

Would like to know this too, if I remember correctly I think the old stuff that was sold had a metal layer in between, insulating much better, wasn't as flexible as standard stuff, but held the heat.

being less flexible would mean less likely to kink too? nice for hose to be flexible but if this layer of metal or whatever would help stop the kinking sign me up!

How are you getting on with the combo of thermobore and the claber reel?
