all straight up with work now.january was the best ive ever had earnings wise despite the odd day off here and there.
im getting to the point where i can easily service 300+ customers a month.so i could canvass and build more work into my month but to be honest i only want maybe an extra day or two.in spring and summer i tend to fill in more days with fascia/soffit/conny roof cleaning.
WFP and being super organised as made window cleaning so much better!
so guys how are you getting on with your workloads?
best wishes

for me going van mount has made work easier and faster than the trolley.ive also picked up better paying work and dropped some crap jobs.
lee give yourself a 5 year plan.im 3 years into mine and each year ive earned more.raised prices and priced new jobs higher.
this year is going to be better than last and next year even better!!i have realistic figures i want to achieve every year.
i had years of neglecting my round but im banging it into much better shape now!! ;D ;D
its about attitude, quality of work and working smarter! ;) ;D ;D
good luck!!

lee do you work in the rain at times?
do you start early(8am-9am)?
do you work the odd saturday when behind?
if the answer is NO!then you ve got your answer!!!
-
dw here's link.
Got book plus postage at old price £22
Spoke to richard sorrell before i bought he didn't twist my arm up my back :D
The book just clarifies figures that i had worked some of on calculator i.e working weeks days hours etc.
If your earning less than your happy with and not able to increase earnings i think it's defenately worth a read.
I suppose alot will say it's not rocket science, but i became self employed by accident and not got the mind set of a business man, i'm trying to change that been on my own for 6 yrs and just feel like i'm trundling on
got quite a decent size round now but not setting the world on fire ;D

Hi Daz i do my best went out yesterday got £10 ;D
Was raining/snow so sat in van til 1.30pm went home.
I've worked every saturday since after 10.30 til 2pm
I do work in drizzle but anything more than that and custies will moan.
(what do you do with this, leave custie out if they insist?)
I'm sitting here at the mo :D
waiting for temp to go up -1 to 0 as you've said before in the cold it's a case of 10.30/ 11am til 3 ish.
I can't start til 9.30am 3 days a week due to school runs.
My problems are building up my hourly rate £20 an hour sounds a lot but as book mentions = 23,000 a yr.
6hrs a day 4 days a week 16 days a month.
I'd be better off shaving work down, i.e get rid off under priced work/ put up and work towards £25 p/hr= 28k a yr.
I'm not getting any younger 40, but hopefully life begins at 40 ;D
Thanks for your posts Daz always enjoy reading realistic posts ;)

Hi darren is paperback not very thick either. You can read through it in 2 hrs or so.
Not cheap but then i look at as an hours wage to read vaulable advice.
I'm not on commision and you could probably find out a lot of what it contains on here looking through all of the posts.
But i'm glad i bought it.
That's my opinion.
lee ;)

cant you bring any work forward to this week, seems daft leaving it til next week when its dry for the rest of this week. your going to be stuck if weather turns next week dazzy boy
