can you claim expenses for clothing items  such as boots ,jackets ,hats
is there a list anywhere what tells u what u can claim for.

tops only if you put logo on

Shoes only if they are protective

coats only ir they are waterproofs

Trousers, grey area unless specialist

Test case, a judge recently was told he couldnt claim for his robes, because he had a duty to clothe himself wether he would be at work or not, maybe not in robes, but he would wear similar value cloths, if he was doing anything else

Dave is correct,
My sister is an account, and shes always said to me that i could only claim for clothing that is logo'd or saftey.

This is the biggest load of rubbish ive ever read in my life!

I only speak of what I have read, and don't just speak rubbish, maybe I got the robes thing a bit wrong, but i was quoting from memory
