Are you guys being serious,
Seriously are other poles that much better than brodex.?
I've had all brodex poles and over 2years down the line they still are working fine, don't get me wrong, I've tightened the clamps around 4 or 5 times and make sure I give them a good clean once a month, but we have up to 45 ft from them and they are doing a good job.
For the price I'd rather pay 100 pound and know what I got than take a gamble on say 650 pound, plus brodex do send out faulty goods with out that much hardship.
If there were another pole what would it be please, all this slx I don't get it, what company r they, I've never needed to look else where so excuse the might be obvious.
Thanks

Are you having a laugh i have got both a 36ft brodex alloy pole and a slx25 pole gardiners pole wins hands down every time
gardiners pole = easy release clamps, light weight and stiff
brodex pole = awkward clamps, heavy for all day use and flopy as hell
-
Brodex are no comparison to gardiners

Where do you live? on the moon?
36ft brodex alloy pole is rubbish and so heavy. I bought one at £99( excl vat), it is still too expensive.
How can you do a good job with this kind of pole? ??? you can't!
Gardiner poles are the best, not the cheapest but so good!

When I went to buy my slx 30 I wanted to see it and have a feel before parting with a large ammount of cash. I kid you not, they had to pry it out of my hands so they could put a brush on it. There was no way I was going to leave without it.

i converted my brodex pole as a washing line prop, even at that its not much good, they are pure trash!
Gardiners poles are pure class!
-

I have had the SL2 for about 5 - 6 years, the SLX35 for 4 years, the CLX 18 and 27 for 3 years.
all are in full working order

Out on the tools today with our new Gardiners pole(arrived yesterday)
Good bit of kit and used on every job
Got home fresh as a daisy rather than feeling like i've wrestled a telgraph pole all day
Will,in due course,be switching all our poles over
Hope that helps

Wor Lass is about 5 foot 1 inches tall and eight stone wet, and she can use a SLX 18 foot pole no problems; and she says she feels fresh after a days work (but that's probably 'cos she's a skiver too).
The SLX is a good pole.

mate, if you got an slx, you will wonder how you managed with the brodex pole for so long, it is a no brainer. Brodex are big heavy lumps, the slx is so much more superior to anything brodex offer.
-
best poles on the market are gardiners mate, if you want to see a great difference try a clx 18 for cheap first even they are amazingly good poles
-
Ok il get an slx,
Frankie who...??
Cheers everyone else good advice, nice to see or read it, there's always one isn't there
Does anyone know if they have a good guarantee as brodex do a 3 year one, which I think we all know is damn good
-
As above try a clx 22
You will be amazed

As far as what I've read on forums, this isn't worth the paper it's wrote on. Been a few on here tried to claim for broken/bent poles & been fobbed off!
-
have to say there my pole fell & the top section bent & they replaced it almost free eg i never paid for section but had to pay p&p both ways by which time i could nearly of got a new pole. but when the threads on my gneck went they said that wasn't covered by the 3 yr jobby so no its not damn good
