Title: Need a new dip tank

I need to buy a new dip tank and if anyone can reccomend a company that would be great,

Thanks very much guys.

I have mangaed to get my supplier to pay for one. But i need 2 prices and when i look on the net there is not many suppliers.

so i be in touch over the weekend, the plastic ones look bigger but the steel ones look great.

Hi Kenny

The steel ones look ok but they run on gas and this system has draw backs. The gas is expensive and normally runs on butane wich freezes in winter and you have problems with your burner. You can use other gas that does not freeze but it is more flamable than butane and there is other issues with the gas its hoses and transportation in the rear of the van.

The plastic tanks with electric heating is a safer option and if for any reason you need to boost the tank during the day I have had no complaints from my customers when I ask them to plug the power cord in to there socket to reheat the tank. jeff

Always used the steel bath and gas and never had a problem with freezing

I use propane, again never had a problem with freezing. I don't know where you live but glad I'm not there, seems like it must be very cold.

Propane will be OK right down to about minus 40° C.

As for cost, I pay around 23.00 which lasts 2 months on average.

Safety? how many caravans and motorhomes drive round every day with a gas bottle on board? What is the problem with the hose that you mention?

Maybe the fact that he sells the plastic tanks might make him biased ;D

Hi guys just reading on your coments and its just a preference thing for me useing a plastic tank now. Ive been claning ovens for 7years now and at first I was useing a stainless steel tank but with butane and this does freeze at lower temperatures and I also know that if you use propane this withstands our winters and does not freeze.

I am currently designing a fully insulated tank and seen kenny was interested in a tank and passed my details on if guys want to use steel tanks I dont have any thing against this but if any one wanted a plastic one well I can sort this out for them.
