Reel taps, pole taps and brass reel fittings all leaking. I end up with soaking trousers and boots afternan hour. What do people use to connect microbore to taps? O clips? Jubilee clips seem the only perfect seal but I can't get them small enough.

hello steve i agree with you but i find even the good stuff is leak free for so long but after alot of use they just wear and start to leak soon be summer and our feet will dry faster ;D ;D ;D

I use Ez Snap hose connections from Gardiners coupled with jubilee clips.
I do still get occassional leaks but i've found a lot of the time the jubilee clips need to be nipped up a bit and it seems to sort it.

i feal your pain i got so sick and tired i have tried gardiner easy push fit taps, you fit them to your pole hose wherever you like, i have my pole hose draped around my kneck and these connectors are great and they dont leak

Hi mate, I know it sounds stupid, but getting right size o clips and the correct tool to put them on will work a treat.
Our systems were leaking, we basically changed worn hoses replaced clamps and tightened all brass fittings and fixtures
We spent a good day on both vans sorting things out.
Now we r nice and dry after a long days work

drives me crazy to, haven't tried it yet but a mate told me to put a little silicon on connectors that screw on, sounds a good idea dont know if works though

Bought an o clip tool too. Tbh, the one driving me mad most is the brass hozelock swivek joint on the reel. The van is awash. I bought some replacement o rings today to hopefully sort that.

I bought the gardiners tap, but it didn't work with Pure Freedom microbore which is what is in the pole. The hose was too wide and was a struggle to push into the tap and it leaked. Then the tap broke when removing the hose - again because the fit was too tight. Fortunately though my original tap is now leakfree as I bought gpincers to properly fit o clips to my original tap.
I also bought an elbow swivel fitting for my reel which was leaking really badly. Haven't fitted it yet though.
Also, I bought new bolts for the clamps on my pole, so no more swiveling due to rounded off screw heads.
