Title: Any tradders use pure water in bucket etc?
Post by: clearviewwc on January 26, 2012, 08:54:29 pm
Hi, just wondering if any tradders use pure water in the bucket. If so, how is it better than tap water? does it clean better, less marks left, no need for detailing edges etc or  better ? Do you add any detergent to the water? I suppose the TDS must rise very quickly with the dirt going in the bucket but it must be better than using hard water (lots of impurities to start with) I assume. Thanks

Why would you want to? If you didn't add Fairy (or something else) the blade would just pull. S you would still have to detail.

Squegee is very draggy and doesnt glide very well with pure. if you add detergents to it then it kinda defeats the point of pure!

I used to put all my water through a water filter, you know one of those Britta jobs. It really did make a difference in keeping windows cleaner for longer.

Where I live now there is no need for it as the water is so much cleaner.

As soon as, the very second that, the instant when, just as you dip your mop into that lovely bucket of pure water, guess what? it is then full of impurities by the bucket load. It is called pure for a very good reason. It can be difficult to get right, and at times expensive to make. Why the fwuk would you then dip a ruddy old time served sleeve right into it and still expect it to be pure?

^^^^^^ what he said, I do it if my water is truly manky, i will fill from my tank, but if there is an outside tap or whatever, I will use that first, may be better in a hard water area but I doubt it, you can use urine or dirty puddle water if you want, the squeegie does the work
