in the back of the van all my fittings are hoselock, to hose reel , and to and from the pump box as this is the size of the fittings on it
however all of them leak and im sick of mopping water out of van and floor always being soaked
im gonna rip out ply and protektakote , and want to find a way to make everything water tight??
Anyone use something else or know how i can get everything water tight????

Spot on! ;)
Used hozelock for 8 years & so long as you replace the O-rings now & then & the actual connectors every couple of years you'll be ok. ;)
Don't even have my van floor coated, only ply lined as my van is bone dry! ;)

Ahh
on the female or male?
I pulled one of the offenders off today and thought to myself that the rubber seal on the male connector could probably do with being thicker

Male. That's the thing that keeps it water & air tight. ;)
You can get them for peanuts on ebay or Homebase, B&Q etc sell a little packet called a "hozelock repair kit" (or something) & this has them in it, as well as some rubber washers- for approx £3. ;)

Claber connectors from www.garden4less.co.uk
Great price
"ABS plastic construction is UV stabilized and weatherproof. Performs with outdoor temperatures of up to 140°f and water temperature ranging from 32°f to 120°f"

Why are they any different to hoselock?
-
The plastic is weatherproof and connectors do not lose their strength like hozelock ones do if exposed to different weather conditions. The hozelock connectors I have used in past quickly weaken and then do not connect securely even if new seals are on male connector. You can feel the quality with claber and they are also cheaper than hozelock on the garden4less website.
