Hello,
I will be updating telephone numbers tomorrow and Thursday for everyone.
You should have recently received an update email which explains that we are looking for all the members to link to the site. Which will get all the mini-sites even further up the search engine results.
Although all but two mini-sites are now first page already.
All the best,
Huw

wow just looked at their rates and it £36.00 a month for one main area plus £60 deposit seems a bit steep being that they don't come up on the first page on Google when searching window cleaners?

SAJ
Now we are talking I think that that proves to everyone that this site and idea works, it puts you in front of the people looking for window cleaners.
I would say you have a 30k a year contract there and I hope you win it and many more through NWC if I can help or give any advice on the quote just let me know.
Also welcome to the 4 new people that have signed up today, hope you will have some sites like this to quote in the future
-
Works on the home page have not started yet as we don't have enough members and we are getting wasted enquiries already as we don't have contractors covering all areas
All the mini sites we have built are on page one under the areas purchased, much more important that the home page being there, once we have good coverage rest assured the main site will be at the top of google under anything to do with window cleaning

S.A.J
It's looking good - lets hope you get them.
Great idea for many window cleaners and very cheap considering the high costs of SEO

Stuart , have you seen those windows since the google shot them , every one of those is slackers accomodation , i dont mean to dampen spirits mate , but they are all rotten , the one in coburg street has been having all manner of liquid dropped out of every window in all the stairwells for the last 4 years at least , its got to the point where the puke piles are growing moss , i love students
The only reason you got the call mate is cos no other will do it (not even the DINGLE)
Mate if you go for it i would strongly advise that you put hot systems in your vans (tight sod)
Oh and dont call me , im busy that week , dont to vomit ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Good luck matey

J.V.Price Ltd.....
The op has put a possible job up on the forum, can you tell me is that the sort of job that your company would normally look at obtaining for your business?
The reason i ask is that i presume that you are still active in gaining new contracts,so couldn't there be a conflict of interests eventually from some of the work coming through NWC?
-
I think I understand your question
Yes we are a growing company and look at works like the one Stuart had come through as a lead, but it went to Stuart and not to J.V. Price,
We have 4 people in our sales team and are flat out 5 days a week carry out quotes and surveys, this shows that there is plenty of work out there to go around.
We have set this website up to help the small firms and to build a network of window cleaners nationally so we can compete with the national brands as a team, after the time and money spent on this project, I want it to work for all parties.

Heres hoping you get paid.
Sorry couldn't help it.

Yesterday was a busy day for the site, 7 commercial leads, 4 residential leads, 7 new contractors signed up and 36 looking to buy areas
The network is growing!!!!

So what you are saying is that the bigger the NWC becomes and the more work flows through (which i believe it will) then your sales team will not be quoting or chasing work that is meant to be the sole responsibilty of the contractor signed up for each particular area?
So how can you grow your business without eventually having a conflict of interest?
The reason i ask this is for the purpose of understanding how it all works so that maybe joining the NWC becomes a possibility.
-
Firstly a lot of our business comes through FM and Managment companies that have approved contractor lists, if your not on these you don't get a chance to quote, we also have some 50 cleaning companies that we have exclusive agrements in place to carry out all their window cleaning, I have bought my local areas to my offices as well to pull any local jobs in through the NWC website
As a rule most of the jobs that we do are to big for most window cleaning companies, and most jobs that will come through the site will be to small for us, for example we are working on a tender at the moment for 32 shopping centre's across the uk, we would not want to be being asked to quote sites with single cleans under £300
On another note if a site like the one stuart has had come through and the contractor could not take on the work we would offer to assist or take on the job and give them a kick back on the works

Sounds like a good idea so they dont lose out
One thing i've wanted to ask, off topic a bit. Are NWC willing to merge the smaller postcode areas? for example i searched a 10 mile radius from my postcode and it came up with 11 different postcode areas around 5 of those was within 5miles of me. Thats alot of monthly areas to pay for to cover such a small area of the valleys.
-
Hi Lee,
Send me an email to huw@nationwidewindowcleaners.co.uk with the areas you are looking at and I will see if any areas need to be merged together if they are too small as they are.
Nothing is set in stone and when we have enough contractors on board any unwanted/remaining areas available will be merged with the nearest member.
Cheers,
Huw
-
huw im looking at merging a few areas can you give me a call on 0151 355 0050
-
Hi,
Best if you email me Rich, snowed under at the moment.
Just to clarify that we may look at merging areas together if it is shockingly obvious that one area is a tiny area and we will not be bundling decent towns together just to make it cheaper!
Cheers,
Huw
-
will do!
-
Futher 5 contractors signed up today things are getting close for some national adverts
-

Hi Charlie
Iam based in cannock, but, local area is walsall, most of our work is Stafford. Of these areas what availability do you have.
Cheers
Gary
-
I have been reading these post for a while now and i still don't undstand the point of it if i bought 4 areas residential and commercial that would cost me
£120 depost and a monthly payment of £120
Why would i not just spend the £120 a month boosting my own site seo and push my company forward and build on my own company image ???
i know people are getting quotes off the site but would the amount of work cover the £1440 yearly cost
-
well of course that is the alternative.
nothing for me so far though my web site through organic listings is up with my nationwide page on google , others and those that this may work for do not have a first page presence whether organic or through the google local business center (which for those who dont know what this is or havent suscribed is the easiest, best and cheapest way of getting to the very top of google for local searches)
-
Hi,
To all those who have joined this week, your mini-sites will be live by the end of the weekend.
Apologies for the delay, but with the cold weather I have been out on our gritting contracts the last couple of nights and have not had a chance to get the new mini-sites completed.
All the best,
Huw
-
People need to understand that huw and Charlie could put the most amount of money etc into the site for seo etc but unless someone is actually looking for a window cleaner say a nice commercial business in your specified area you will not get any enquiries they can not make some one need a window cleaner it's an extra tool for gaining enquiries. To cover 1440 you would only need two smallish commercial jobs monthly
-
Hi Rich,
I think that could be the most sensible thing you have ever posted on here!!!
It's essentially a marketing tool. In the long term it may develop further though if we get enough guys involved.
Cheers,
Huw
-
I'd be interested in this, it's just the site appears to be advertising for the cleaning of widows. Ive cleaned some widows in my time and I wouldn't want to advertise that fact on google ;)

Yes NWC will have an area on our stand where people can sign up and be shown the way that the system works.
We also have 4 Gorgeous girlls giving out free lollipops so its worth coming down just for that!!!!!

I know see how you are working this...very shrewd of your company.
A bit like Eddie Stobart starting a scheme where self employed lorry drivers can pay him a monthly fee to get on a national website and pick up small jobs, but when a large contract is offered then he is there to help out. ???
Do you hold a database of all possible contracts offered to NWC members or are all enquiries passed immediatley to the members concerned without your knowledge?
-
Hello,
A record of all the enquiries that come through the contact sheets on each mini-site is kept. Mainly so we can see the amount of enquiries coming through the site as a whole and to have some idea of whether the idea works! These email enquiries go straight to the member in the relevant area automatically.
This record of email enquiries should help us demonstrate the amount of enquiries coming through the website when we are trying to promote the website to window cleaners. So those going to windex for example could get some idea as to the volume of enquiries.
As we are now starting to list direct telephone numbers to members on their mini-sites we can not keep track of the volume of enquiries coming through direct by phone to members.
Cheers,
Huw
-
Hugh can you confirm one way or another please whether Basingstoke is still available, as when you search it on your site it certainly appears to have gone, domestic as well as commercial by the same company as well as ALL surrounding areas (same company, commercial and domestic).
All looks like the same crowd to me

I have just recieved a PDF file of my order and ongoing monthly costs. It says that it is £30 per month but when you register your town it says it is only £18.00 per month. ??? ???

When I do a search for window cleaners in my local area, nationwidewindowcleaners is on the first page, but towards the bottom.
My own and other websites are toward the top.
Is there any advantage to using nationwide that I'm missing?
-
Hi Tosh,
I only set that page up last Wednesday I think as an experiment to see how long it would take us to get the No.1 spot for Chepstow.
I haven't done any SEO on it yet. I suppose for companies like you who already have a website which is high up on the first page of Google it would give you two bites of the cherry when people are looking for the usual three quotes.
Last week in Cardiff we had a customer search "window cleaners cardiff". They ended up contacting us three times:
Once for - Seerclean
Once for - www.windowcleanercardiff.co.uk
And once through NWC Cardiff mini-site
All our sites are displayed on the 1st page results. We got the job.
It's only an additional marketing tool for those who are interested in this type of thing....that's all.
Cheers,
Huw
-
Hi Matt,
Your not the only one to have that error on the subscription charge. It should be £15 + VAT, don't worry I will sort it my end. There is a bug in the system.
Are you still doing that big domestic/manor house we got for you a couple of years ago?
Cheers,
Huw

I did that place for about a year or so, then once they'd appointed an estate bod he took over the cleaning shame really, nice job, superb hourly rate.

Hi all
Just to show the power of having a good local website, we have just one a 10k a quarter job through our website (www.jvprice.co.uk) in our local town of Watford, new customer that I had never even heard of, it turns out as a company they have a 600k + spend a year on window cleaning, so fingers crossed all goes well with the first job and we can have a look at some of that work for them as well.
-
SAJ
Whats the update??????
-
Hi everyone quick update :P
We won the contract!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Start in August and I cant wait to get stuck into it!!!!!!!
Stuart 8)
-
Bit more info now that the future boss of S.A.J Window Cleaners has stopped crying ;D
Got all of August to complete the job, all buildings apart from 1 will be wfp the other is going to cherry picked.
Also got the contract to clean all the main entrances of all the buildings every month
and there is promise of more work in another city for us
So defo worth the monthly fees for joining NWC ;)
We were not the cheapest quote either, but they were so impressed in what I had to say and what we can deliver they re jigged their budget just for me :o ;D
When we start I will take a couple of pics for you all :P
Cheers
