Hello,
Any one got any advise on sharps and needle cleaning up and disposal. Is it worth doing and what prices should you charge for this risky service?
thanks
John

The work is all in the paper trail .
You can get training at the flood school ( trauma clean up)
the main points are .
Competance ( shown by attending a recognised course)
Risk assessments and method statements
Correct equipment , sharps boxes , needle pickers , needle proof boots/gauntlets, etc .
Waste disposal licence , or access to a contractor who has one .
To get a team of 2 trained and equipped would cost about 2k plus van cost .
Then you need to find the work . This work is very well paid , I carried out 2 needle pickups last year and 1 needle sweep total turnover for this service just over 3k
A decent add on service if you want to make the initial investment
