Title: battery probs

Ok, so got my main batttery, under stea in ford transit.

I have second battery in the rear for wfp.


battery1 > live to slpitcharge relay > 2nd battery

earth from van body > 2nd battery


it seemed to work fine, for a while, however, now i cant hear the relay "click" in, and on several occasions, the 1st (main) battery has been dead, although the relay i use is designed to protect the main battery. this is the 2nd relay i have bought,

any idea's ????? or reccomend a split charge relay, that does it's job?

recheck your wiring, double check the chassis ground.
a loose ground can make allsorts of odd things happen.

i got mine fitted by a garage, but the one they fitted runs off the alternator as well, seems ok, hasnt flashed bat on the control yet,
