Hi guys I have a 650ltr tank ,it takes 6 hours to fill through my r/o system, does anyone use a booster pump and how long does it take to fill there tank cheers dale. ;)
-
Yeah I've got a 600ltr tank - bought a second hand booster pump off here and it fills in about 2 1/2 hrs now chap
Well worth the money
-
you can get £110 from machinery mart.
water usage should be the same - altho the ro wil produce better quality water.
i boost my 4040 to 70 PSI and get about 150 ltrs of pure p/h

I paid £100 with postage - I'm sure if you shop around and ask about (maybe put a wanted ad on the site?) you'll get a decent one for a fair price
I can't imagine the water bill is any different wether you've got one or not tbh
-
Cheers ;)

How often do you fill tank, and how much is your water bill,I fill mine 3 times a week, just had my bill £820 for last year,£940 est for next year does this sound right, cos I've only been paying £38 a month I owe em loads.

How much do you use a week approx?
-
I use about 2000ltrs a week.
-
use between 400 and 800 ltrs per day 5 days per week - but not a meter ;D

that price sounds about right.

Do you know if you can opt out of being on a meter
-
I think the only way to opt out of the water meter, is if you had it fitted
-
You can't opt out of having a meter. If you've had one fitted and you decide within a certain time period ie 12 months that you don't want it, then you can opt out, but after that you have to stick with it. If you're in a property that already has one, you have to keep it.
Back to booster pumps; £300 from machine mart - model CBM240E is the best I think, as do many others. It takes my mains pressure into the RO from 1bar to 5bar, I use a 4x40. Fills my 650l tank in about 2 - 2.5 hours.
-
I'm selling a big booster pump if your interested. Drop me an e-mail and ill send some pics and info. Cleanasawhistlewindows@hotmail.com
