Hi all, Just thought i would drop a message with concerns of Payments from customers.....

Around my area i have been told off a window cleaner that i get on well with, that someone or some people are watching where windys are cleaning and knocking on those door asking for payments, saying they work for them.  I have told all my customers now that im the only one who collects money...

Has this happened in your area??  ::) ???

i always tell custy that i am the only one who collects,  that way they know they have paid

It's happened here (Grantham, lincs) a few times over the years - my old boss even had some bits printed off for us to deliver to custys whilst out cleaning warning them of bogus callers - I remember he called the fuzz a few times
And I've encountered some worried old folk who have very nearly been conned in the past
If you are a sole trader then make yourself know to your customers - the problems arise significantly if you employ several cleaners who in turn share several rounds - the customers won't know who's who !

if i cought someone doing that on my roand they would have a short fat problem on there hands...... ME lol
