Hi my tank temp shows 65 C degs ( max setting ) but Can anyone tell me what the expected temp at the wand or scrubber jets should be? I'm pretty sure the temp guage is reading correctly but the cleaning jet temp seems barely warm ! i know there will be some heat loss over the length of the pipe but seems more loss than i iexpected , appreciate any comments as i'm just starting and want to know the machine is working as it should.
Thanks Dave

Don't get hung up on it, even with truckmounts reading very high temp on the guage it sometimes doesn't feel that hot coming out the jet. I've tested this with a lazer temperature guage and it is always a lot hotter than what you think.

Make a cup of tea with milk in it as normal. Thats 65 degrees ;) now see how long you can keep your finger in it ;D

ok thanks for that, i suppose it will feel cooler as its mixing with the air in such a fine spay .
Cheers for quick reply Dave

Here we go again :)
All the cleaning I do is done before the wand hits the floor- all I rinse with is cold water. The heater on the machine stopped working around 2 years ago and I have never bothered to mend it.

You could always try a bigger jet or perhaps inline filter/s need cleaning for a better flow

Don't forget it'll get warmer as the job progresses.
I'm sure you've felt the solution hose and wand first thing in the morning and it's quite cold to the touch. But if you've been filling with hot water and then heating it by the time you've been wanding for say 10 minutes or so both the solution hose and wand will both feel hot to the touch.
Ergo, the spray WILL be hot.

Dave, what kit are you using? pump, length of hose, how many jets, what size jets?
Also, wand technique is everything, maintaining heat at the wand, no matter what system you're using.

I have not got the latest kit it is a Ashcombe Elite dl with scrubber, 25 feet hose , and single jet wand. not sure what size jet is fitted but when used for a descent spell you can feel the heat runnimg through the wand but when you stop for just a minute the temp drops quickly giving slugs of barely warm water till you get a good run going again, is this normal? It could be my technique is at fault as i have only had a one day training course so not much experience yet.

Is the hose a hida-hose? If it is then the air going up the pipe will cool the solution hose in the pipe.
-
yes it is a hde a hose in effect made my own with !/4" plastic tube as i found the weight of the Vacuum hose plus the solution hose to awkward. Just went back to normal pipe and temp is much hotter plus no real slugs of cold solution. Thanks for your help problem solved just have practice with the wand more now to improve my technique.
