Title: Is there a guy on here who makes controllers?
Post by: Dave Willis on January 19, 2012, 06:40:14 pm
got a couple of questions.
What controls the working pressure and what controls the idling pressure (when the water is off) would it be two separate components or are they both worked from the same one?

Hi
Firstly you could do with a bit of help with the wording of the ad on ebay, if you are serious about this you need to offer a real guarantee and look to work with the big suppliers in the industry. Make a video for youtube and show it working. You have a huge amount of barriers to sell these at the moment...

I asked the question because I have a new varistream that won't keep the pressure to a sensible level when the pole valve is turned off. Everything else works fine. It's not air in the system or a leak it is definitely something wrong with the controller. I'm wondering if it could be a single component and an easy fix or whether it could be the cicuit board itself.
I had a feeling someone on here repaired them.

Hopefully it will be but I opened the casing to use the existing wiring and back box on the van system, the casing doesn't match the previous model so I also had to drill through it to match the threads on my mounting plate on the tank frame. On top of that I have sealed the casing to the plate with a marine adhesive to prevent any moisture getting through the back. So It's doubtful the warranty will hold up methinks, I don't want to go through the hassle of rewiring the old one back in to remove it all over again.
I have another on order  ::) so if I can't get any joy with the suppliers, this one may go off for repair provided it's reasonable.

Franky - I found your post of the guy in Scotland who does repairs so I might try them in a week or two.
