Just wondering can anything be done with a vac motor when it packs up.the machine is not that old, Craftex Grace portable 15 mth old. was workin perfectly until last night , whent the electric tripped and the motor when switched on makes a funny noise and then stops . its was flooded via the clean water tank being over filled a coupke of months ago could that have caused it £150 plus vat to replace
any help appreciated

Flooded, as in water got to it from the outside? Or flooded as in water sucked up through it?
If it's knackered it's knackered, not economical or practical to try reconditioning in most circumstances
I'd just replace it and be done with it, not worth screwing around :)

if its making noises sounds fecked,,but sometimes it can just be the vacuum bushes gone, theyll trip and there cheap,,buy some think they might be like 20 pound,,,no point been off the road do get a new vacuum,if it was the vac you now have a spare

When water goes over the the top and into vacs the bearings go rusty, then noisy causing tension and failure.....not looking good :'(

15 Months isn't a bad life for a vac. Think of the life these things have with hot moist air going through them constantly. Just buy a new one they are part and parcel of running a cleaning company. Thats why you need to earn enough to put aside for things like this.

... and remember, buy cheap, buy twice... ;)

Sounds like its on its way out and it will start tripping the electrics in houses when its running.
