i use George on my pc,not on a pda which i think is what George aworka is so no comment on the aworka system.
as for the pc version its great and for £50.00 its well worth it as well as the £12.00 a year internet back up

This doesn't look anything like the normal George, I suspect someone is trying to illegally muscle in on the "George" brand. I'm sure Paul will let us know.
-
We've been using it for a few months now. It took a bit of getting used to but it was worth it as old George couldn't do everything we needed it to do. :)

I have been using it a couple of weeks on a PDA. Never heard of a PDA untill someone reccomended this system on here but I paid £15 for one they are a basic computer/diary. It is much more basic than the George on your home pc but just plug it in to your pc at night and your home pc is updated. Before that I was using a traditional diary writting it up every night when I got home. Pocket George is so much better no more trying to remember what happened during the day and booking the next clean in 6 weeks time it also updates on the main computer who has paid who owes etc, I am sure you could do something on a modern expensive mobile phone or ipad but this system is cheap and works for me, and makes me feel very trendy using it in the van ;).
Ian as you get it from the George website and Paul has helped me with a problem using it I would think it is has to be approved Paul and nothing illegal about it.
What PDA do you use and how do you get George on to it? Sounds interesting, everyone raves about George!

OOps sorry just realised this topic is about George aworka which I know nothing about, I thought it was about Pocket George ??? Sorry
-
I stand corrected, why haven't they used the square window logo that's synonomous with George?
I'll have to look into this package a bit more as we work from both home and office it could be useful.

is it any good George?

Hmmmm :-\

Ian I hope you are not refering to my reply when you say you stand corrected as I was talking about pocket George, I know nothing about George.aworker and agree with you that it looks like someone trying to muscle in on the George good name, its also bloody expensive compared to George. Sorryfor the misunderstanding :-[

stick to george, the aworka part of george online gives you a clue, gardener, bruce bigalow aka swimming pool guy etc,its a general organiser and accounts package,i've tried it for over a year now running alongside george, yes the new one looks good-but its not done by paul :o(had a problem and mailed paul,he admitted that they pay him a fee for using the name)paul has nothing to do with the online version,he's called chris, personally i can't get on with the online version, double click on a job and it'll mark it as done and paid-i only wanted to add a note :P.i've learned my lesson so many of you say keep it simple,i am now going back to george-it works/does everything the new one does/just doesn't look as flashybut it works!made by a shiner too :)

We do account work for a housing association and an estate agency. With old George you can't have one customer and multiple job locations, which is the reason we changed over to aworka.
Plus there's no need to back up your data and you can access your data from anywhere on any computer.

Hi
A minor point but you can have multiple locations for the same customer if you use the Invoice Address facility.
Also - the George Aworka brand is authorised by us - but thanks for your concern guys...

Hi Paul do you no when Aworka George will be ready for iphone and can you use it on ipad 2 aswell thanks in advance. ;)

Hi Jista
You can use it on the iPhone and iPad now, however the iPhone version is limited but does the job and the iPad the same as the desktop version. Chris is currently developing a full blown mobile version but as usual these things take time.
Hope this helps
