Had a phone call from a woman claiming she worked for a company called dot.gov supplies and services.
She started the call asking if I would be interested in local authority work. Schools, hospitals, nursing homes, council offices etc.
Then she said since the government have made tenders easier to apply for more of these jobs are open to smaller businesses. She also said one-off cleans etc. are available as well as contract work.
She sounded quite professional and at the end of her sales spiel she says "So shall I sign you up to receive the tenders its only £99 + vat ?".
Me:"Er no. Email me the information you have told me over the phone including the fee and what you are offering."
Just got home and checked email....... She has emailed me, nothing in writing of what she was telling me earlier and just a link to their website.
http://www.dgss.co.uk/
The company is Dotgov Supplies & Services 01323635390.
Beware.
Im out! >:(
ps. Tender information is free to view on your local council website ;)

EVERYBODY STEER WELL CLEAR.
They fooled me 18 months ago, but all they have sent me is jobs that that you are not interested in, to big, or, to far, or just not what you do.
They kept sending details of full college cleans etc but sometimes not the windows, etc.
Promised me local council work etc NOTHING OF ANY USE.
Complained but got nowhere.

Just had a look at their website, the testimonial from the home page is a company called reflex graphic supposedly a graphic design firm and the website is shocking. So looked up the owner of the domain and they are registered as a non trading individual so no contact details. I have to say it doesnt look good and I would steer well clear....
