Title: 1st New Customer of 2012
Post by: Ian101 on January 10, 2012, 12:19:13 pm
6 quid monthly !!! 3 windows and a skylight and next door to 5 other houses I clean didn't have the front to tell her I have a 12 quid minimum. Compacting is the word for 2012 with my rounds.

A 12 quid minimum would have been a tad harsh in those circumstances lol...

Common sense has to sometimes over ride the rule, otherwise you are cutting off your nose to spite your face. Congratulations on your new contract  ;D

In my opinion all jobs are important no matter how small, if you could improve your income by 72 quid a year every day then it would add up nicely....

i joked to my lad that i could rake in no end of new work if i reduced my prices by a factor of ten ,  ie an 8 pound job becomes an 80p job.  whose gonna cancel us at that price eh

dont be daft says my lad you will be making a big loss.
i dunno,im not so sure , i reply, if you lads increase your workrate by ten times or thereabouts we will be okay  wont we

he didnt laff too much as he knows i sometimes do daft things

Don't you think the good weather has something to do with it?  We've had two cracking days up here and the guys have picked up a fair bit of new work, mainly standard sized houses on estates/areas we already cover.

I'm also pleased to see that the carpet cleaning work is picking up after last week, which consisted of 8 jobs in total!

I have a house that has 3 windows plus a front door... It's £10 per clean, because that was my minimum price at the time I quoted it... They've been a customer for 4 years and are happy enough to pay it

My minimum price is £15 now.

if its next door to one i already do, id rather get it for what in reality is a very good price for amount of windows, rather than possibly not get it because was being too greedy and another windy get it and have another house in the area.

Only started canvassing today! Have been short on time today so only leafleted a few streets, I had to give someone a quote (a mate) and have gained my first customer £8 monthly  :) Its a start at least and can always build on that.
