I notice the previous topic has been locked.

This method was mentioned in the thread

Also I remember Robert in his Alltec Christmas video showing a hose washer for the outside of you hose for all you guys that drag hoses through peoples flower beds.

I think Hydramaster also sell them.

Hahaha I notice on Alltec's website, the price of that hose cleaner (http://www.alltec-direct.co.uk/tools-accessories-hoses-hose-accessories-c-33_61.html) has been "SLASHED" from £95 to...............................

wait for it....................

..............................

£141 !!

How did you get the rag through the hose, was it by pushing it through, or by sucking it through using the machine?

It certainly looks like it cleaned a fair amount of crap out of the hose!

Only thing is (and I'm sure that a few here will agree with me), as a PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaner, your solution won't be much good when you've got 15000 feet of vacuum hose, like I have.

It was the garden hose that got shoved through the vacuum hose. The cloth was held over the end to filter out the solid bits and allow the water to flow through.

It's OK, I'm not a real professional. I've only got a small one.
