After reading many posts on here about canvassers and the problems that arise with them, I am now offering canvassing at the following rates.
1.5 x the price plus all expenses. Customers sign for min of two cleans. No money back or re canvassing.
What do you guys think?
-
could be intrested ,but how are you going to take payment ,after the first clean?

the others say guarantees and refunds but they dont do it and to be honest i dont blame them they just think that the cancelation will be low ,at least he is being honest but at 1.5 it might be too much drop it to 100% with a minium of maybe 2-3 cleans sign up , that will keep you in work.
-
you can come and do some for me if you want , im in surrey

-
Where abouts in Surrey?
-

-
So can you let me know how and when I would pay is it after first clean etc?
-
You should give George a go,he got 22 new custys tonite

good result ,
any more then 15 stay for 2nd thats even better.
-
How does george work the payments and is he close to kent
-
As far as I know he will go any where, you will have to pay digs and fuel,it's 2x clean you pay for what he
gets, after you have cleaned them, then pay again the next time you clean them

So if there 4 weekly you clean 2 months with out earning anything....or have i got that wrong :-X
-
Yes that's right,in our case pay staff
-
Well, you could stump up the money up front and then when you clean the money is yours. Either way you still have to pay. At least doing it is way, if they cancel after the first clean you aren't out of pocket and having to case him up to replace or refund!!

sounds good.

Just got home from a great day, 22 in a day is a personal record....
-
nice , what will you do if they cancel before the 2nd is that 100% yours no matter what :?
-
I only get paid on what cleans the second time....
-
Just read your post again crystal, it depends why and how many cancel....
-
OH what % is every other month?
-
not a bad offer i think you will be quite busy
-
All 22 are 4 weekly....
If it goes 8 weekly I only charge one clean as its based on 2 times monthly earnings....
-
Would you canvass for 8 weekly only at that rate and really wait for 8 weeks to be paid?
-
Why would anyone want 8 weekly work? I work on 4 weekly....
-
because the pick up rate is higher the cancellation rate is lower etc.
amongst other things
-
Nah just wouldnt do it, every one of my new jobs today were perfectly happy at 4 weeks....
-
you can also charge more and the customer doesn't feel bullied into having it so regular
-

what was the average price thou. under £15? or £20?
-
I get a feeling that i could do no right in your eyes, they were normal houses on an estate for an average of just over 10. They all within 500 yards of each other....
-
no thats good man , keep up the good work.
all i am saying is 4 weekly will not work in every area where the average price is higher , and where the people just dont want you to turn up 13x a year,
for example my areas ;D
when its under about £15 monthly is ok i think £12ish or so then you are in a monthly area.
-
Help me out here, what is a monthly area? How much of your round is over 15 a house?
-
Where in london are you? I have worked down in essex and our average prices there jumped by 4 to 5 quid a house and they were still on 4 weekly. Dont get why a 15 quid house would go 8 weekly?
And it wouldnt help the pick up rate cos most people want 4 weekly....
I am not trying to be funny but i really dont get where you going with this?
-

monthly areas simply when the price is about £12 £15 all round i have those areas too but then less regular which is over that. even those can be monthly ive got some high monthly s just did them today infact
but i learnt that its best to offer bi monthly when it gets higher less headaches cant answer what % right now.
you sound like a decent guy ive got your email and number thou might drop you a line at some point im quite busy at the mo thou, sorting out plenty of poop and will be following up commercial leads soon will have to take some on the perfect mix of it is important as it can be done early and late etc.
not looking forward to be told we get ours done for x can you beat it ! bah , domestic is alot easyer if only we could turn up at 6am or 8pm lol
youv got good feedback from today
keep it up do your best thats all you can do m8t
its those customers that could ruin it for you not your canvassing :)

Surrey areas.everyone will go monthly ,
but when the price is over £15 specially in the over £20s 30s 40s monthly is way to much overall they will moan after a few cleans so you take a income hit but live in peace!well not peace but a bit easyer yo wont get alot of oh back again?
-
2 be honest small order values are the best ive got alot of small order values too but still on 2 monthly they never leave and cos its 8 weeks they are well happy,
easyer to manage too
-
ok guys, so why pay a canvasser when groupon can get just as many custys in one night??ok you get very little commision from them, but whats the diffrence from paying big money for canvassers, groupon does work by the way,

i heard isnt it just one deal per day per area thou?
-
im not a fan of it anyway first they pay less then more ???
-
There are dozens of articles on the net as to why groupon doesnt work,
The customers are bargain hunters who wont stick...
There is no guarantee where they come from within the area so could only get one per estate or street
All 22 of mine tonight were on one small estate so the cleaner will only move 4 or 5 times...
No guarantees from groupon and they collect the money so you are not in control of finances...
They normally slash prices and then take a cut of that so you could end up working for days for no money and no long term customers...
I could go on....
