I lost my boots recently, but they will have an uphill struggle to keep hold of it for long.

I get on very well with the manager and staff, and they are all primed to be on the case if a clean is missed and the bill goes in. I will be keeping a very close eye on this particular job, and cant wait to kick them in the teeth when they bump it.

Naffin nationals pee me off, they go in with a rock bottom price that is so low that it is just not worth turning up for. They run the stores into the ground, leaving them filthy, they lie cheat and steal, and they take away good jobs from people who are ready, willing and able to to do the job properly.

The same snot ridden stores are up and down the country, any town you go to will have halfords with snots and burgers all over it, as well as currys (the store) homebase, jjb, pc world, barclays, nat west, etc etc. All of them will tell you they have a contract organised through head office, and all of them are filthy.

National window cleaning contracts only work for the scumbags who are willing to lie and cheat and steal for a living.

Rant over.

agreed gav there are good cleaners out there working for nationals and good subbys as well, and sometimes the prices are better than expected, there are good lads out there, I speak to a few of them on our high street and they never miss a clean and can clean a window perfectly well, the boots in our town and greggs and many others are spotless, I can't fault the contractors at all

stu , as you know there are excellent
windys working for crap firms
lucky to earn 300 a wk (ocs) springs to mind
and why do they do it
because they probably av familys
and jobs are hard to come by
so they stick , they probably aint got the resources
to set up on their own ,
set in the mind set of worrying if they
would be able to scrap 300 a week
together,would  i employ a lad who
as experance of travelling miles
and bringing me the signed sheets
to right i would .

companys dont give a toss about the window cleaner,   they pay for a service, if they can get it done cheaper most will go with it,  if some one started selling poles to the same spec as gardiners, but half the prices people would buy one, i know i would,  so whats the difference

if you are that sad over it  go clean it for free, to make sure it is kept up to your standard

£5.40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! inside and out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spend more than that on pasties and sausage rolls when I buy my lunch there .... rather go and canvass 1 or 2 houses than work for that ........... unless I did all the high street then poss worth it

We lost Morrisons contract to Greggs Avinou last year, we were charging £60 inside and out.  Month later Greggs Avinou contacted me asking if I could subby for them and do them for £20.

Er...................no!

The paperwork each time took about 1/2 an hour to do.
