Title: Where do you guys get your Rectus 21 Fittings, or is there another alternative?
Post by: Tom White on January 05, 2012, 06:18:07 pm
I'm after some Rectus 21 fittings; is that what the cool WFPers are using these days, or have they been superseded by something better?

If not, where's good to get them?

Thanks.

started off with them and endured them and their cost for a couple of years - now use hozelock, cheaper , admittedly dont last as long but when your desperate half way through a day and you have run out you can always buy locally

rectus 21 are fine.just spray with wd40 when they jam.last me around 6-8 months before needing a change.i dont use a proctecta ball either!they get banged and dragged everywhere!

i get mine from gardiners.only a few quid a year. ;) ;D

In case it helps:

Left to right: Rectus 19, 21/EZ Snap, 26:

We haven't got the 19s or 26s in stock yet.

The genuine Rectus 21s or EZ Snap can last well if they are kept from dragging on the ground and being wet all the time (i.e. in pools of water) by using a protector ball either side of the connection.  The WD40 dazmond uses might be helping to prevent corrosion by dispersing the water too?  Haven't tried that.

It's recommended that you replace male and female at the same time so that you can be sure of a good fit and that an old one of either connector doesn't damage the new.
