We are using an internet based package called Yview, see www.yview.co.uk which has been specifically designed for the cleaning industry.  It is very user friendly.

Just a quick note, in my previous employment i used to cheat and actually download software from microsoft, it has no copyright and is totally free to use and easily adjustable (headings etc..) Obviously you need excel, word or the likes, just start a new document and then click templates and from there you need to click downloads,

I hope this helps

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well why not, let the boffins do all the hard work for you, just sit back and reap all the rewards for little effort, meaning you can get on with your day job rather than paying somebody hundreds if not thousands for a program that does the same but possibly a little prettier with nice pictures.

I have just kicked started with Quikplan, (although for homecare industry at the mo) its very easy to use, Nick the designer, owner, technical support is very friendly and helpful and the training is great.

We will be adapting it to work with the cleaning industry, but I am very impressed with it even before its adaptation. I am in the early stages at the mo, but no problems. It isn't cheap but it is good :)

Let me first say that I have a vested interest - I work for this company.  CONTROL from Target Software is a payroll and management information package designed for the contract cleaning industry.  It starts at £595 so you need 50+ cleaners to make it viable, but it will do every aspect of your payroll and give you accurate historical costs on all your contracts, including correctly showing Employers NI when your staff work on multiple sites.  There are 200+ contract cleaning companies using it, ranging in size from 50 cleaners to 5,000.  Have a look at www.TargetSoftware.co.uk
