Anybody use one if so is it worth it ? Even a fixed one at home would be ok can phone for payment in evening
-
sounds good but expensive
-
I was offered one the other day by my bank, £40 per month plus 3-4% per transaction. Good I think if you were doing a full house clean, they could pay with plastic instead of finding cash.
-
yeah my bank has offered me the same deal. Was thinking customers have no excuse not to pay if i get one ;D

is there a min fee per transaction?
-
Do you mean minimum amount you can put through if so i dont think there is
-
I think the fee was adjusted down slightly the more you do.

sorry i mean a minimun charge per transaction. if its just 4% then on a typical £10 house that's just 4 pence.
they charge us something like 30p per cheque, and that doesnt include my own staff costs with the paperwork and running them down the bank. so 4% is much better, even with the machine rent.
-
3 % on all charges i think which is def cheaper than cheques we get charged 85p for every £100 quid paid in cash
-
isnt 4% of £10 = 40p
-
isnt 4% of £10 = 40p
YES! how embaressing! :-[
-
would work out at 80p per transaction if it was £40 rental and 4% based on 100 custys
-
One fixed at home?
Why not use paypal, get them to ring you and fill in the details to pay yourself, its like 20p per transaction + 3.4% and no monthly fees.

so only really worth considering for telephone payments i reckon.
-
Might work out cheaper to go with groupon and get them to BACS you the money !!
-
£20 on PayPal plus transaction fees gets you the offline payment option, which there are apps for iPhone I believe.
But is it worth it, wouldn't that money look nice in your pocket?
-
Card save do a deal where i pay £15 a month and 10p a transaction.
-
Is that £15 a month for fixed or is that a mobile machine ?
-
I think the Taxipay scheme offers better value than the bank schemes.

no wonder your not making money ;D

its fixed so i dont have to go and collect. But the portable one was £25 a month. you can really haggle with them i halved there original quote and didnt want to pay a percentage which is how i got the 10p. The snag is if you dont make a certain amount of transactions you have to pay an extra £16

paypal virtual terminal is good but they hold back 50% of your money for 60 days
