Title: solution spreading
Post by: Glen on December 14, 2005, 06:20:30 pm
I have just moved house and started using softened hard water (had water softener fitted) with Squeegee Off. the problem I have is that the remaining solution around the edges is spreading over the glass which means more detailing! How can I prevent this? Is it the softened water?

I have noticed this when I have bladed glass when no detergent has been added.
Change your solution, just use your usual washing up liquid with a good dash of dishwasher rinse aid in it. £1.69 a litre in Lidle. You will be amazed at the difference.

I was getting that with squeegee off, I like using it for the slip though, I reduced the amount of water I was putting on the window and that stopped it and reduced detailing, cant remember who posted about  just wetting the applicator slightly but its a good tip.
