Title: Do you use WFP on really dirty 1st cleans, or trad first then WFP thereafter ?
Post by: Steve kiff on December 31, 2011, 04:25:23 pm
I ask this chaps as I have a really dirty 4 bed house next week with a conny . The conny is pretty bad too!  Shall I trad it first then use my WFP on future cleans? Or go straight in with the WFP ?

That would be like buying an Aston Martin then walking everywhere.

i use WFP from start, on maintenence cleans i use the fan jets, but for really dirty first cleans i may use the pecil jets.
(my brodex sill brush has moulded pencil jets but i have doctered it to also house fan jets, so switching is easy)

if the frames are bogging on the first clean;
I will wipe over the downstairs frames and corners/edges of glass will a sill cloth.

I also give them 2 cleans;  clean all window first concetrating more on the frames.

On the second clean i clean glass only.  reason being is that i feel that if there was any dirt left in a nook and crany or above the frame i dont want to disturb this, as it can cause run marks .
but the second clean on the glass is important as any dirt  that has run off the frames as they dried will be cleaned off.

Why trad them to start when youve spent all the money on wfp?

In my opinion if a customer takes a disliking to the pole theyll ask you to trad them all the time and when you say thats not how we work theyll say thats how you cleaned them first time.

I find WFP great on frist cleans no matter how dirty, just take your time and rinse well. You get all the frames well smart with WFP, would never of cleaned em that deep trad.

I use WFP from the start... I make sure I turn the flow rate up to make sure they get a good rinse.

I did a first clean yesterday inside and out... They were minging... I did the outside first, it gave me a good chance to inspect the outside clean from inside whilst I was cleaning the insides... No problems at all.

When  I had finished the customer said it looked like I had replaced all the windows instead of cleaning them  ;)

if they are very bad I find some fairy liquid on brush helps. do 4 or 5 windows and leave soaking in lather. then go over them again with plenty of water, then final rinse. uses plenty of water and takes a while but comes up lovely. need to be sure to get all soap off.

but wfp every time.

Of all the things that WFP is really brilliant for its minging windows and frames. Turn the water right up and concentrate on the frames first.
Bish, bosh, splish splash, have some that you horrible minging frames. Don't be shy with it, get that brush in everywhere. The water runs off black. then do the glass.  How long would it take to shift all that muck trad?

Then leave it to drip while you go and do the rest before you go back and re-do the glass only in case the dirty frames have dripped down on the glass

if its really dirty i find using traffic film remover is pretty good at really getting that ground on dirt off i always go over it twice.im getting good at these one off cleans  cause custys rip me off by getting me to them then not having them done regular. im such a loser
