I'm thinking of putting together another trolley system as I have a friend working with me soon. I currently use a shurflow 100psi and varistream controller but whilst window shopping on the Gardiners site I've been looking at the Flojet pump and the liquid logic controller.
So what combo would you go for and why?

Get a vyair pump, they are a lot cheaper, the controllers are all the same just have the company's name on the front, so get it the cheapest place you can.

Wow! You seen the price?
Worth having as a spare!

The 5L pump is only £55

Yeah, I got a Vyair and its a good pump. Got it as a backup for my Shurflo, but been running with it since I trialed it with my system, it's quieter than the Shurflo too. The other thing is that I run 65m of 6mm micro. hose and my Varistream only works at the top end of its flow settings, had it all checked by manufacturer and they said nothing wrong with the pump. Anyways, got fed up so bought a Liquid Logic, works on any setting.... sorted ;D

:-[, it's meant to say flow controller not pump after the manufacturer bit ::)
-
thats a good deal and if you look to the right you can add a pump controller for and extra £65 inc vat thats a fair bit cheaper than anywhere else, plus on check out if you enter 'reefcentral' in the code section by the 31/12/11 you get another 10% off....5l pump, strainer & controller worked out at £128.00 delivered

Certainly does look like a good purchase as it happens.

i have got one controler that tells exactly what i have left in the battery eg 12.4 the other just uses 3 bars so have to guess a bit as on 2 bar shows L for low battery not much room for error
-
Thta seems a great deal. I just purchased 2 5l pumps and 2 flow controllers for £230.00 delivered.
