Hi

We all get these sort of people, and we all want revenge straight away but i must advise you to take a deep breath before you name names, just my opinion.
Why did he say that he was only going to pay £180, what was his reason?
Get things in BLACK AND WHITE before you ever pick up your duster again and get them to sign your work off to say they are satisfied, sorry to sound harsh but we have all been there.
Merry xmas

Chris

Hi Chris thanks for the advice but we will stick to what we know best from now on and thats office cleaning, domestic and blitz/spring cleaning.
I dont think we will bother with new build cleaning from now on, the job when we finally finished was superb but im sure they would beg to differ.
£180 was what they said was another quote they had recieved and that was the max they would pay but thats our fault verbal agreement counts for nothing i suppose.
We will learn, at least our office and domestic cleaning provide fantastic references for us.

Don't think they should be slagged off for with-holding 40 quid, its hardly daylight robbery. I wouldn't bat an eyelid at £40.
I did a job early this year on a verbal contract and lost thousands, only myself to blame for that.
Thats learning the hard way!!

Another company a few months back called the Police on me when I removed MY equipment from there premises and then with-held £200 from  the final invoice so they could buy new stuff. THEN sent me a letter telling me the Police would be called if I telephoned them, went on the premises or spoke to any of there staff ever again. I hadn't done anything at all to upset them except say I didn't want there work anymore because they were never satisfied with anything the staff did and were always looking for excuses not to pay.
I proved to the policeman that all the equipment in that van was mine.

hi there,

this is exactly the reason why we have devloped ConstructionClean Consultancy, its all about management, and communication.

Deliver the service, and get paid for the service, believe me, builders need us a lot,,m especially this time of the year, and you will get issues resolved very quickly, if you ever threatened to walk off site.

we have never done that, and the resaon why? is because al of us know exactly what is required, what is tendered ie contracted works and what is extra.

but in the end its down to each individual , how yourun your business.

regards

martin
