will need to speed up my water production in the new year . my ro currently produces 300 litres a day . was thinking of putting a 25 litre di before the ro .how much extra will this produce . cheers bazza

if you put the DI before the RO then you wont need the RO.

do you have a booster pump on your RO, or very good water pressure already.

what is the RO GPD that you have, you can buy upgrade kits for them giving you additional 100/150gpd membranes.

I think it would probably increase your production of pure by about 10,000%, the only downside is you will use 2000 sacks of resin per year, so you would need lots of extra customers to pay for it, hope this helps ;)

man, didn't even know they went that slow! pointless putting Di before RO, as that would be sb expensive way to purify water because would go thru a lot of resin.

can you get better membrane? or as above, a booster pump would help to increase the water pressure, would need running too much Dow my liking. if get better membrane myself.

i use a 1500 gpd ro with no booster pump. most of that goes straight down the waste

If your 1500 gpd ro is only producing 300 litres per day then something is wrong.
Has it always produced only 300 litres per day? I would of thought pre-filters and or membranes probably need changing.
If water pressure is low a booster pump would help.

With such a big ro I think you will need 5 x 25 litre di's in front of it for it to be anything like efficient, I'd consider going trad to keep costs down. ;)

is it really 1500gpd or litres.

i would say you definitely need a booster pump, that is going to be a lot of filter/membranes for water to go through.
so slowing the production down.

I saw someone the other day with a DI only trolley system - it was pretty impressive really. The Massive DI bottle on a trolley connected to the outside tap. Massive amount of water coming out - wave goodbyye to your RO;s static tanks , transfer pumps, Though it would cost a fortune in resin as the TDS round here is aboyut 250. Having said that you wouldnt be p[aying a water bill as you are using the tap on site.

sure its nt 150gpd  - 300l off a 1500gpd is shocking

I worked out a while back it would cost me £5 a day just using DI resin without the RO . Which actually is not that bad. Tax deductable so about £3.50 a day after tax .

It would be simpler

oh barry you always lighten my day sir!  ;D and to answer your question why dont you baypass the ro and go sraight to the holding tank that way you can fill up sooo much quicker ive noticed  ;D plus there is 0% waste!  :o

only downside is ive noticed that the ro and di seem to be of no use now and all the glass i clean is very spotty and seems to be getting worse with every clean! :P oh well at least i fill my tank quick  :P

Disclaimer to all the stupid people... this is a joke!  ;D
