Starting back in about half an hour for a couple of early morning commercials.
Then it's off to the garage for a between service oil and filter change.  Probably be about 11 by then.  Will probably plod along and do a few houses till about 2.
Working rest of the week as well on domestics but I reckon it will be late starts and early finishes.

Thats what I like to see, non stressful working conditions. :)

Ive been out today, and what a lovely sunny day again.  Most of the customers apart from a couple were at work/out shopping/away. Always text or call the night before, and all gates had been left unlocked bar 1.

We went back today. No negatives from any customers. The lads thought we should have been back yesterday. I think they wanted B.H. pay plus the days pay. I needed the extra day off to get over Xmas.

dump em and replace with 2, got to be quote of year!

that and use your real names from now on please. regards admin

people won't complain, unless u get them out of bed at 7.30. you've got to earn a living, most ppl will accept that anyway.

only one customer wasn't to happy today, crabbit old sod, came out telling me I was having a fffing laugh,I said no bother see you in 4 weeks, it was tipping down with rain at the time, but I reckon that was just an excuse as I have done them in rain in past, always get moaning customers from now to the end of January due to them getting paid early and being skint, I don't let it worry me though just move on.

are a lot of you desperate to get back so you dont have to stand another moment with the family? ;D ;D ;D ;D

fair enough if you ve been ill or injured before xmas but the weather has been very mild so most of you should be only a few days behind?

when i here some of you havent had a week off all year i find it very disturbing!the thought of all that window cleaning without a break just freaks me out man!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well ....

I always used to work the non bank hols (usually 3 days) between Xmas and the new year on a 10 til 3 sort of basis. Custies were fine.

This year I decided to not work. But .....

About Dec 1st one of my commercial custies asked me to do a clean on the cladding and windows of their security gatehouse. A pig of a job that needed a weekend or bank holiday so that lorries weren't constantly breaking up the work.

So we did it Monday 26th.

I always try and get all my work in before xmas especially after last years snow etc. So I did this year. 4 weeks work in 3 weeks though most of my work is monthly. So all you guys that are working this week good luck to you but what would you have done if it had snowed this week?

I would have worked, and if I couldn't I would have done as gold suggested, but it didn't snow. So I worked, only did a few hours a day, what if it snows next week? or the week after what will you do.

the bin men worked, the postman worked, just about everyone worked unless you work for a big company so no big deal working on working days, if you don't wan't to fair enough and if you do same again. I could have stopped and took time off but didn't want to, as I have no idea what jan and feb will bring weather wise, so make money when I can and relax when I can't

I think you mean "work to live" not "live to work" but it's ok, after all, no one's inflammable.  ;D
