Title: Is it worth leaflet dropping this week?
Post by: Steve kiff on December 26, 2011, 07:36:47 pm
Guys I'm itching to get out there and get some more customers. I'm enjoying my time off but can't help thinking it's great opportunity to get out there leaflet dropping and canvassing as people will be at home.   What do you think about doing it this week ? Do you recon I'm just wasting my time? Should I wait until after new year?  Advice please my fellow windys?  Ta

How many customers do you aim for a day? How many hours do you canvass for?

Seriously if you want to go leafleting go leafleting. If you think its a good idea to knock doors then knock on them. I bet you feel like your wasting time sitting on your backside when you could be out canvassing. If thats how you feel then you are wasting your energy sitting looking out the window. Just go for it. I bet no reply on this thread will change your mind on how you feel. Really you just want people to tell you to get out and get some customers in. If thats how you feel then go for it.

Usually canvass Monday-Friday, 9-3, then go back on the dirty ones at the weekend

That is amazing!  I have been out canvassing today for 4 hours and got 3 customers.  2 potential big 5 bedders!

How much do you charge for canvassing?  I think I may be interested if you can yield them results.  Cheers

Ive been thinking of going out locally as i moved last year and alot of my windows ar near to where i use to live 10+ miles away, is it worth doing a deal say for example 10% off 3 cleans will this get me a better reponse.I started off canvassing in jan 2011 didn't do that great but i do gardening aswell and picked up some of that aswell, so it wasn't a total waste of time, but i do enjoy doing my windows so i need more and more compact mine are very spread out.

I work with my partner she does the down stairs i do the up stairs. She always refuses to door knock and TBH i hate it myself, but we were cleaning some OAP  bunglows and one lady said to my partner (theres a new lady moved in around the corner i dont know her but give here a knock) before i knew anything about it she had knocked and got the job for next time.
I let her deal with the phone calls and collecting the money i price them, but she is good with the customers and this one door knock got a result,do you think being female helps?.
