There are 2 sides to every story , and I reserve the right to cause people furthur embarrassment by filling in more blanks!

The company I work for has me carpet cleaning a call center on boxing day 7am until its done. Wouldn't mind but still normal pay and just an extra day added to holiday. Heard he's earning a really good amount and only giving me the normal salary is a little disheartening but I'm stupid enough to agree to do it so my own fault really, too hard to so no to an extra days work lol

If asked would even go out Christmas Day.
Last year did exactly that to a flood job burst pipes.
But Fingers Crossed I won't get asked  ;)

Cheers Tony

That's pushing it, the wife would slaughter me if I worked Christmas day. I got the evils when I agreed to boxing day

Yeh there are 2 sides to a story. You were happy with the job... infact offered me more but i suspected non payment so refused to do them. You work with your son aswell don't you. Jason you are really ping me off now and believe me... you are not helping yourself with excuses for non payment.

If you do a deal with someone, you stand by it. Fullstop. No excuses, 'you're word is who you are.'

Hector,

Agree, but I think the publicness of it all is deliberate.

I guess it is me that is being called into question , since I have done nothing wrong(except pay for 2 thirds of a job before I have been paid)  ,I am ok with it .

Not by me Jason....

I just think this sort of thing should be kept private.

Unless it was someone refusing point blank to pay what was owed, which this seems not to be.

Remove these posts..............accusations against members should never be made on a public forum particularly if the situation is as Hector says NOT a refusal to pay.

Since you have brought this dispute out into the open, it shows the importance of getting any sub contracted work pre-qualified.

If it was agreed beforehand that the work would only be paid upon satisfactory completion and when paid in full by the customer then I can not see the problem, other than why would someone agree to these terms.  :-\

If on the other hand if it was not made clear and payment was expected in full upon completion or 30days as is normal procedure, then that is a different matter altogether and payment should be made in full whether payment from the customer has been received or not.
