Title: Help needed Tarmac cleaning

can any one help got a job to look at on tuesday to remove some gloss paint from tarmac however ive tryed this type of job before and found it was very diffucult to remove with out removing the tarmac at the same time,is there any substance i could put down to loosen it up may be the day before as could really do with the work any help would be really appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!

I have found that you cant use any chemicals whatsoever on Tarmac as it damages the bonding agents.
It sounds to me like you have got a task on your hands.
You cant use hot water as it blows the tarmac into holes, you cant use a high powered pencil jet as it blows it.
Personally I would leave it alone and tell them that it would need re-tarmacing.
failing that tell them the risks and what could happen.

wot about repainting the tarmac with tarmac paint?

we've had some success using a low pressure steam cleaner fitted with a fan nozzle. The gloss was preliminary loosened using a standard paint stripper - carefully applied using a paintbrush.

I suppose it depends how old the tarmac is and how much paint there is.
