Beautiful pole but IMO a bit like using a Ferrari to do the shopping as far as most houses are concerned.

is it worth having the sill brush as opposed to a ordinary brush

Harris pole is not worthy of being on the same thread as SLX.
Have a couple of slx poles, they are rigid, lite, I bash the hell out of them and they keep going.
I don't clean the pole hose like I hear others do to look after it and still it works day in day out.
the only downside unless this has been fixed (and it is a small downside) is the clamps coming loose, but when you glue them properly with aridite the job is complete (not sure if they rush this part at gardiners as happened on all slx and clx I have bought.
Would I buy an slx again, you bet your life I would.
To sum up this pole in one word: AWESOME

If you think the SLX is good - wait 'till you try the Extreme! ;)

Mark, Have you got the 48 foot extreme, what's it like? Thinking about getting one in the new year
-
Yes, lovely pole. If I were to criticize at all I would say the closed length is a little on the long side, I'm 5'10 and find it a little cumbersome to extend so I don't think it would suit a short arse. Very light and very rigid. I've got the 25' too and that's a very sweet pole.

Hi
I used xtel poles for a few years, before that an unger tele pole , was always sceptical about what a difference an slx would make , 2 mths ago I ordered a 22 slx, with a medium double trim cill brush, the pole is amazing - so light and rigid, the brush is the best I've used do far, any one considering buying one , just do it, you won't be dissapointed.

i;ve got a clx and an slx, the clx is an 18' and the slx 38' (or something close). the clx is fantastic but dont like the slx. not tried a smaller slx so maybe i'm missing something.
i love my clx and its so cheap... :D
-
??? how can you not like the SLX?
-
??? how can you not like the SLX?
it may be because its a big one, and i;ve not compared it to a similar sized pole. i find it heavy and awkward.
i love the CLX and dont see how the same size SLX can be much better to justify the price leap. will have to have a go of bobs when he gets one :P

On using the sl-30 again, what a pole absolutely brilliant,i love it!

STARTED WITH HARRIS POLE THEN GOT AN EXTEL & vikan .
thought id treat myself to a carbon pole.
should of bought it ages ago slx 22.
Got now 22slx , 10" cf gooseneck and sill brush white WITH FAN JETS ( check the jets dont spin though ).
Perfect for all windows and doors UP TO 3 STOREY . and i really do give my 22slx a bashing day in day out.
looking at getting an extreme soon enough as these poles make your day so much easier.
ONLY THING i dont like is the hose it split on barbs too easily, so got orange hose from somewhere and albeit stiff takes aright hammering no matter what heat i put thru it.

after a weeks use i like it.
Not as much as THE extreme white but its angles really are a benefit for sills, you still get the feeling you are leaving debris on the sill though but thats just part and parcel of wfp ( trad is only way to ensure perfect upper sills)
you just have to suss out best way of rinsing for you as its jets are high on the brush. which i really like.
i rinse on glass 2 brushes deep from top of glass then lift off for rinse down.
make sure the fan jets dont spin as they will drive u insane .
ive got superlight extremes ( black & white)
superlight dual trim ( bit harsh for everyday maintenance cleans even on hot water ) good for firsts though.
superlight dual medium which is a very nice brush .
sill brush which i think at the minute is my favourite all round brush. (only time will tell though m8)

i am with clear view, the cill is a great brush and so is the extrme wide, i got
1 x white dual trim cill with fans
1 x black dual trim cill with pencils
1 x red flat cill brush with pencils
2 x extreme wide 1 fans 1 pencils
1 x white flat brush with fans
1 x white dual trim with pencils
1 x black dual trim with pencils
plus 4 others types, vikan salmon
and i swap between the white cill, extreme wide with fans and the white flat brush,
am going to fit fans to my red cill brush, as i prefer flat to dual trim, but each to there own
