hi mate, looking at the pic you put up of your van and the background, do you live in sugarloaf crescent/frome valley way?
im just across the road in roman way, been in ross 3 years now,
be nice to meet at some point, pint maybe?
-
lol, heyup dude! Let me guess, vauxhall astra van, sparkling clean?! There was a van going out of roman way one morning last week, i waved but it was dark.......
Fair doos, yep, three choirs close. Good to meet ya and know there is someone local. Guessing by van your into the old fashioned now ilegal black market ladder malarky!?! ;D :P
Havent got any work here yet, but was going to get me other half out there in the spring to pick up some work, got to see how prices go tho, as have heard hereford is cheap area, where we work in pershore its fairly OK (tho nothing compared to what some on here seem to be getting! :( ), not sure where ross stands for pricing, guess will find out in spring!
Just moved here 6 months back. Been on windows since moved here, or recently started?

not me, thats one of thr 70 others! im wfp but pull a trailer. its so inconsistent on pricing round here. i could price a job e.g £15 and someone would say its expensive the last guy was £7, and on an identical house i could say £15 and they say how cheap i am as last guy quoted £80, quite often the same person!!
The best is Graham "the window cleaner" does a lot of shops, wont give a price now, he sends his lads and they do the job , work out how long they took against their hourly rate and then charge, and customer has no idea what it will be! we have to go very far out, i have canvassed like crazy and we go as far as huntley, ledbury, hereford, monmouth and anywhere in between but i like the variety.

been on since moved, sorry missed that one. If you have never been, dont be put off cross the road to the vine tree GREAT food, i big them up everywhere, 48oz steak! just across the road from you! ;)
-
Ah, nice one. I also see from your comments that you do have wfp! :)
There does seem to be alot around here, sure there is still plenty of work around, my uncle (Old grandad Roy Harding) also does some here, and almost every time I am around town there is a window cleaner around!
Still keeping my round going up in pershore, its compact, OK priced, and we get on very well with customes. But be nice to cut back on abit of travelling and get a day or so a month here.
I wanted to get a 4x4 and pull a trailer, but decided was too much hassle trying to park the thing and get around. Also would have needed a tachograph as with 4x4 over weight threshold, and too much hassle to keep it "legal".
Nice to meet ya anyway, my mobile is 07729218245. Sure, would be cool to meet and have a bevy sometime :) See if i can get any trade secrets out of ya lol. :o ;)
As for vine tree, had a friend over from ireland, he was dieing to get into an "old mans" pub, which i feel that is. And it really is one! Had a pint of stout and not been back since. Prince of Wales does nice steaks, 2 steaks and bottle of wine for 20 quid, occasionally treat ourselves. 48oz, now that is something else!

def old mans pub, food great. you will get work, i have, in 3 years there is enough for 3 of us (just!) but it is quite spread out, but i dont mind that, when i was in north wales i could work all day on one street on £5 houses, but i much prefer it now i dont do much less than £15 and my biggest domestic is £200, nothing on Roy's prices though! ;D i just love the area and scenery and variety, been off for 14 weeks with broken leg but back properly in new year. but definitely meet up and we can share official trade secrets!

cheers matey
