I had this happen to me today. It actually happens to me all the time, but then I have found that in Ireland this is the norm.

As I am still building my round, I have plenty of gaps in my schedule, and as most of my work is less than 10 minutes from home, for the time being I am going with it and being flexible. When I have a full book, I will probably say that if it is inconvenient to do them today, I will be happy to do them next time I am in the area.

dont call your customers before cleans as they will start messing you around.  just turn up and clean.

If you called her and she told you this then you must of already give her an answer? Anyway, what i would do is say no i can't sorry. I'm round again in (fortnight/month or whatever), i can do your fronts only if you aint in or leave it till next time.

Did she say why couldnt do it?  Perhaps she was buring her dog/husband/previous window cleaner who crossed her.

Either way, I would be bit peed of, and prob say no unless they volunteered a good reason.  Cant be doing with settin back up unnecessarily when you are doing next doors anyway.

If they have track record of messing around i would be tempted to part company.  But watch your back......  :o

Tell her that in the new year the price is going up - put it enough to cover your troubles - if she cancels, so what?  :)

I always say "sorry this is the set day that I work this area and you have not given me enough time to book another job in so if you don't mind i will still have to do the clean, thank you"-it normally works, if it happens more than once I then offer them a 2 monthly clean at a higher premium.

Just meant for this time  ;D Seriously though we did loads of running around for customers, we just say now very sorry but we aren't back in the area till xyz date and leave it to them. Always polite about it though but don't pander to them

If your not busy do job when Custy wants it done and add £2
To. Over fuel. Then reschedule next clean for same time as neighbour.
No point making an issue if you don't need to

to be honest if you start darting around for them it becomes unprofitabl and you are the looser out of this. you have to train these numptys to accept there pathetic life issues dont wash with you. i would canvass and replace its easier for you mate. :)

like many of u i also have custys that mess me around, so in new year, i am going to do a stocker and
give them thier next clean date with no beforehand phone call which just gives them a chance to mess us about.
