We all know how some try things on,had a good one today.
Booked a job over the phone - lounge, stairs and landing and what was described as a small piece of "carpet remnant" in a conservatory.
Now I thought that I was giving a 3x4 ft piece of carpet used as a dirt trapper a tickle.
Got there to find a 12x12 ft square conservatoty fully carpeted in a cheap cream PP that the customer said he had bought as a remnant!!
You live and learn

That really is a carpet remnant ::) ::) But you might have been misled by the way it was mentioned to you.

She may have got one over on you today, but it will be atleast a week before she finds the frozen mackerel. 8)

Always always always ask for sizes if doing a phone quote, even a rough stab at the dimensions gives you some idea, and not many people confuse 4x4 foot with 12x12 foot.....and if they do then it's easy to negotiate a better price when you get there.

A remnant is a piece of carpet left over from the roll after a big job ie hall stairs landing lounge etc has been taken out of it and the shop feel it cant be used for anything substantial or perhaps the colour or make has been discontinued .A remnant can be a multitude of sizes .
