Bought some today to try, just wondered why some add vinegar to it. Not as sticky as fairy but better glide than unger liquid are my initial opinions.
-
don't know been using it for a month with no vinegar
-
I have just moved from fairy to glimmer(syr)
Has the same glide as fairy .Its cheap as well ,i was using unger but dont get on with it.
-
That's a funny thing I bought some Ecover today to try, what kind of ratios are people using (liquid to water)
-
I found it very good on garage doors and that type of thing it rinses easy will try it on first cleans for more cleaning power .With pole work.

When I tried it, I mixed it 10/1 ............. 10 parts Ecover 1 part water. ;D Just kidding, I personally didn't get on with it, didn't seem to have as much slip as good old fairy. ;)

dunno three squirts to the bucket, probably 8 litre in the bucket
-
I found it good, I used it with another window cleaner and we both agreed it was good.
-
2 second squirt in 6 litre of water.
-
used it for a couple of days now without vinegar, bought vinegar today, put a splash in and hey presto it works fantastico,20 years tried various stuff this is much better than any of them, great stuff :)
-
ecover = squeegee off .Everything in ecover is the same as whats in squeegee off the only diffrence is the blue dye .
-
Glad it's good for something then as it is sh** for washing up ;D
-
Nice one Helen, :) :)

4 days in and i cannot believe how good this stuff is. Normally with ht sun being so low it is hard to achieve good results, but i am really impressed with the results. If you havnt tried ecover get yourself some. Ive been trad for near on 15 years and have never used a better solution
-
Where do you get it from?
-
Where do you get it from?
most supermarkets
and i agree its the best
-
Started using this over the last few days, can't see what the hype is? ???
I was expecting wonders, but it's just washing up liquid!
-
Yeah you're right its crap, don't buy it.
All the more left for me! ;D
-
Good,your welcome to it! ;D

I've used for a few months, 20ml in 8l bucket. I put 20 ml white vinegar in too (recommended on another forum) as vinegar stops there being any film left on the glass and better cleaning power too. Trouble is although being very good, the vinegar degrades the squeegee rubber really quickly causing drag. I was turning the rubber at lunch time. I now just use the ecover and agree that it is the best I have used although not this amazing product as has been made out on various forums. Worth a try if you've not used it before.

thy it on leaded window and tell me its great it a night mare it smeres bad some say you can use it with wfp cleaning
-
Vinegar change the P H of the product it will cut through oily deposits on glass and does not leave a sediment on the glass The vinegar helps it spread better, its better for first cleans on w f p AS IT RINSES OF EASER. i Have a formula I use on first clean and UPVC but every one goes mad when I tell them so I will keep it to myself.ITs the lack of chemistry understanding that drives them nuts and the B/s the government tell us.
-
i bought some the other week and ive got to say i think its great.no more gg3 or squeegee off for me.its cheap, readily available and does a good job.im not putting vinegar in it though.degrades rubber and stinks the van out!no thanks!! ;D ;D ;D
ive not used fairy for a few years now.i think it leaves too much residue and film on the windows compared to pro liquids and ecover.
-
What's the difference between this Ecover and standard fairy liquid?!?!? Never been a fan of fairy or soapy mixes much but im up for giving anything ago.. Dose it leave blade marks?
-
Used it for 2 months now and think it's great. The windows gleam and it's so slippery yer squeegee glides. Tried it with white vinegar but must admit couldn't see any difference. I squeeze the bottle for bout 2 secs then fill up with about 10 litres of Water.

About 30ml to 40ml then ;D
Yeah I'll treat myself to ago lol lol I no 95% of guys on here hate unger liquid but I love the stuff always have
-
3 to 4 ml per litre of water seems to be about right.
-
I have been using cover for 3 years now - much better than fairy but I put some in the water and a strip directly on the lambswool. It doesn't go all congealed like fairy. great stuff but no good for dishes!!
-
Tried this ecover out today and yes its very good tbh...The water stayed nice and clear after the first two cleans also no blade marks as fairy produces so over all very good.. No more squeegee off liquid for me.. :)
