Title: Damaged my new SLX
Post by: Ian101 on December 11, 2011, 08:07:45 am
:( 2nd day of use and was doing an apartment block with lad, let him use my new 22SLX as I was doing high stuff with my dinosaur Brodex 65ft pole - does the job though- anyways he calls me over to show me the smashed end cap with a disc of plastic broken off the bottom  ::) ... he let pole down too fast

must have been cold as normally on me clx the end cap would have popped off or are they different end caps on the SLX ?, tried to remove it as got a spare but seems to be glued on but maybe just tight as new ?

Ian, the best thing you can do to protect your pole and prevent this happening is to get some insulation tape and wrap it around behind each clamp, that way the end stop wont come off and the clamps wont get smacked each time you close the pole down

In the meantime- cut some squeegee rubber to fit & fix round bottom with a tie-wrap. ;)
