Title: Round for rent in Lincs
Post by: MNWC on December 09, 2011, 04:50:22 pm
Hi all just putting the feelers out at the moment.

Me and another window cleaner friend are snowed under at the minute and getting new customers every week.

We are thinking about renting a round out between us.

If we put £500 per week of work together between us would a 25% rental return be adequate ?

The renter will use own vehicle and equipment

Does any body else rent their rounds ?  or do you rent from someone else ?

Thanks...

How much are you going to do?

I have hired out a round  at 15%, but they collected all the money etc too. You can spend a lot of time collecting money for someone else's work. Sometimes you will pay them before you have collected even.

I suppose its finding a good balance between % and amount of your own time needed!

I was just supplying the customers. They do all the rest and give me £ x x through direct debit at the end of the month

Reverse the sides. Would you take up what you are offering? I personally wouldn't give someone 25% of what I earn.....actually, I suppose it would depend on how much 75% worked out at, but I can't imagine you would be giving them your best work to do?

I hope it works out for you anyway.

£500 p/w would probably take 3 -4 good days.

This will not happen untill the new year any way and it would have to be a drawn up "contract"

Don't wish to teach you to suck eggs mate, but put the prices up, that is too long for that money.

"3 or 4 good days"   :o
@ £500 value, over 4 days of 8 hours thats  £15 per hour (already low for your area)
Give you £125 leaves £375
Now its £11 per hour. and then take off all costs from that. Are you serious!!!

Who in their right mind would pay that.
