Title: holidays
Post by: andrew stone on December 07, 2011, 07:47:54 am
Hi everyone

as self employed carpet cleaners just wondering how much holiday time do you allow yourself in an average year.

i take four weeks a year plus the odd day hear and there.
i have two self employed mates, not carpet cleaners.one never seems to have a day off,the other takes 6-7 weeks a year!

i find putting the wand away for a week really helps the old back!

I had no holiday this year. Just a week off with Chicken pox.
The year went by so quick i never got chance to think about it.

Every day's a holiday  ;D

Maybe not :-\

I do try and get two decent holidays away per year, one UK and one abroad plus some short breaks when I can............... going to Glasgow between Christmas and New Year for a 3 night break and a villa in Italy in the summer (but that's for our 25th!)

I'm the house husband, I can only work from 9 til about 2:30pm so this limits the amount of work I can do.

Child minder? Don't bother, they are either unreliable or bloody expensive and you have to up the price on jobs to cover costs... :(

But, would I swap situations? Not a chance, I spent far too long away from my kids when I was in the Navy, I'm making the most of the time I have with them now.... :)
