fantastic pole got mine with a 10inch goose neck. we now use slx 25, 30 clx 18,27best poles on the market by a long way!

i agree got mine without the goose for now , its got 5 clamps on it so i pull out the first one and out poped the plasic thing and brush so i can to fit it back lol , so its only the 4 sections on the 25 that extend to 25 foot? cos my clx 18 has 3 sections thought this might have 5

Hi Crystal-clear
The SL-X25 you have is a 5 section 25ft pole. Each section has a clamp at the top hence the 5 clamps on 5 sections. The top clamp (No.1) is the quick-release clamp for the gooseneck. To fit the Resi-neck back in simply push the plastic shaft back in and clamp the lever down. To slide the 1st section out open the lever on the No.2 clamp and this will allow section No.1 to extend.
Your CLX18 has 4 sections on it, not 3, but has a top screw instead of the quick-release clamp of the SL-X - because of this the CL-X18 only has 3 clamps on it.
A simple rule to remember is that on the CL-X range the pole has one more section than the number of clamps and on the SL-X poles they have the same number of clamps as the number of sections.

It's an easy mistake to make at first but it's amazing how quickly you'll get used to the quick release system. :)
