Title: short battery charge

hi i was wondering if any of you lads have any advice .i have a shurflo pump/ varistream/ and 110 battery in one van. only set varistream at 3,i was using an 85 amp battery as it was not lasting i put in a 110 , in my other van i have a similar set up and i only charge it up every 15 days  thanks

How long are you charging it for? I would be inclined to charge more frequently, maybe your not fully charging it

Can you test the battery voltage? How old is it?

i charge it over night charger shows a green light as fully charged 85amp was 6 month old 110amp battery 1 week old,i cant check battery  but the charger is fully charging the other van to 13.2

I have 110 amp battery running 2 pumps for 3 weeks  between charges (2 to 3 days per week). perhaps a dud battery? is your charger up to the job? I have a decent intelligent smart charger, but charge over weekend at 2 amps (charger capable up to 8amp) and has lasted 2 years nearly and counting...

i am also using a smart charger that ok thinking that something was using power but cant see anything even tryed removing fuse at night,seemed to rule out battery as new one still giving same probs          thanks matt

I find the longer the charge the longer the battery lasts. From a full weekend charge I normally get at least two weeks before putting spare one on.
