Title: 2 Men & WFP
Post by: steveo22 on December 03, 2011, 05:26:53 pm
1 Van, 2 man set-up. What is your average amount of house completed a day WFP? I know all houses differ in size and compact runs are different, just looking for an average day, also feel free to comment on this if you are a one man band. I currently aim for at least 20 a day trad whatever the size, as it all evens out throughout the day anyway!

So are you saying that you could do 20 4 bed detached houses with connies in a day?....if so stick to trad mate if you were thinking of going wfp....

Between 2 of us, 20 regular sized places, on average we'd only have maybe 4 with a conny!

I try to discourage that kind of behaviour. Some of my customers object to gays.

it varies some days 420ish some days 350 this is work completed not paid out on,these two lads are both really hard working, the 550 figures were working till 6.30-7ish in the summer, one day they did 42 first cleans on small 3 bed semis.
a
it all depends on how well the round is organised etc and awkward customers, one of them went out on own other day friday and did 28 which was 240quids worth

im quite slow compared to these but i can get thru 18-20 with a full days work but im quite fussy with rinsing

the idea of the trad round was because of wfp

the lads go out with 500litres of water and usually cum bk once to refill

the idea of the trad round was because of wfp quipment problems constantly holding us back be it the van mount system failing, pumps not working, static system not purifying water properly using up resin likes there no tomorrow.

we want to build the business coz we have to with our overheads and the idea of traditional round was so we have something to fall back on with winter and not being able to afford hot systems.

its a cheap way of building as the only investment in ladders is required we have all traditional equipments already and maybe use employees car with roofrack.

when things hopefully begin working out by next summer we could convert these to wfp

What happens if one of your employees comes off a ladder?
You have a safer alternative method available within your company.

Don't send men out together, do domestics and each bloke has their own van. One goes out with 650 litres, pretty much uses it all and does between 280 and 340 a day (winter or summer) and the other goes with 250 and 2x25 litre drums, does almost all as well but only does about 220 to 250.

Hmm didn't really answer the question. I don't employ but understood that ladders were not to be used if there was an alternative method. As an employer I thought you could be held responsible for your employees well being. I may have opened a can of worms or I may have interpreted the rules wrongly.

as an employer you would be f, as all they got to say is  they refused to give us wfp and said if we didnt we where sacked,  might be  aload of bull,  but health and safety would have a field day with the company and you could guarantee it would be all over the news, as they would be used as an example

The 2 men includes me and I haven't yet found someone who I could send out on their own, I find that i need to be the pacemaker as otherwise F-all would get done!

I pay all my guys on percentage, the harder they work the more they earn. Any complaints they go back and do them in their time. Don't get any probs, been like this for 4/5 years now! That's why they work harder and do more a day too

im not too sure we do record it on a sheet but dont really monitor it,id say maybe 750-800litres but that cud be using fairly high flow rate

So on average 1 peson can do around 15 to 20 houses a day trade, how many hours is that in? and do you clean frames and sill, and are the houses all together.I have a small part time round as i do other work too, i work with my partner and no way could we do that many trad in a day we do sills and frames to.Ours are quite spead out but unless we has rows of terrece houses and just did the glass we might get to 15/20 a day but probably no more.I do own a WFP back pack and pole and that does save alot of time and it is handy fo them hard to reach windows.
