I'm looking at getting a new mid to high pole in the new year to cover all my second floor plus work, I'm just unsure what to get the SLX 35 or the Super Max 40?? There's not a great deal in price but am I right in saying that with the super max I can add more sections if I need to go any taller????
What would you recommend??
Also any know if you can get the CLX modified to accept the quick release goose necks?

Both the SL-X and the Super-Max use the same pole section architecture so can technically have sections added.
Yes you can buy a quick-release adapter kit that will change the top of the CL-X to the same quick release system - basically you remove the top alloy screw thread and replace with a top clamp. You would then need a quick-release Resi-Neck (or carbon gooseneck) to fit onto it.

Hi Alex, thank you for your reply. Being that you know your poles better than anyone in your honest opinion what would be the better pole to get the SLX 35 or the Super Max 40?

As this pole is not being used for all of your standard work then ultimate lightness is not such an issue (if it was your only pole I would have to recommend the shorter one for weight). In this case it would be best to get the one that most easily reaches all of your higher work. If 35ft is more than enough then stick with that but if there is anything that it would be a bit of a stretch then go with the 40 as it will make life on those few windows easier.
The best thing to do is to visit the property with the highest window you do and with your current pole and a tape measure work out exactly how long the pole needs to be to reach it comfortably. There is no point buying a more expensive longer and heavier pole than you need - unless you plan on getting higher work.
